What are Profile Identities?

Profile Identities is a 3rd party identity management service that compiles customer identifiers usually in the form of a numerical identifier, from disparate systems for a shared and real-time view of the customer.

We use identities to allow the seamless movement between environments such as POS, IoT, eCommerce and Email communication platforms without sharing more customer data between each platform than is required.

Attribute	Description
id STRING	The unique identified of the identity
handle STRING	The unique handle of the identity
identifier STRING	An identifier for the identity, usually a unique string or barcode
is_primary BOOLEAN	A boolean representing if this identity is the primary identity for the profile
is_active BOOLEAN	A boolean representing if this identity is active
profile_id STRING	The profile_id of the attached profile
created_at READ-ONLY DATE-TIME	The date and time when this identity was created
updated_at READ-ONLY DATE-TIME	The date and time when this identity was last modified
